Action Planning
An effective action map will provide clear direction toward guiding the learner to a new workplace outcome or ideal change of behaviour. Everything stems from the learning outcome. Establishing how the learning outcome can be framed as a workplace outcome or change of behaviour—something the learner should ideally practice in their day-to-day/as required—sets the foundation for establishing supporting content to reach the learning outcome, and related in-course practice activities.
The purpose of this toolkit is to help you develop your learning outcomes.
- A sample introduction page for your course
- A list of learning outcomes that learners should be able to achieve by the end of the course
- Ideas on topics to cover to ensure learners can achieve the learning outcomes
- Suggested activities that can be used to evaluate the learner for each outcome
You’ll be able to take away the ideas and suggestions in a downloadable PDF or Word document.
